WHATS NEXT FOR CALUMPA COSTELLO?

After calumpas unanimous points decision win over Lancashire's Ben Dean who is ranked number 3 in england. Who and when is his next fight??

Calumpas next fight will be on a pro/ams bill at the tower ballroom,edgbaston birmingham on Sunday May 3rd
We are hoping to match calumpa against Mohamed hussain from Northside ABC
Mohamed is ranked number 1 in england for the junior novice 61kg division so this should be a great test for calumpa.

Does that put callum in the number 1 spot!?

No he wont become Number 1. When he enters the Novice championships in October is when he will get ranked where ever he finishes in that will determine where he is ranked.So he needs to win to become number 1.

I think he will lose!!

Whens he fighting next and who against ?

We are looking to get him out again in june hopefully on a home show in swindon.More info when confirmed.

I bet he is up his own arse and belives all this hype about him being the next big thing.

We had a idiot like this at our gym and he always got all the praise and all the attention from everyone he really brought into it thought he was better than everyone else didnt have to train as hard as everyone else got treated better than everyone else because he was going to be the best the coaches let him get away with anything
But in the end he done nothing even though he had all the ability to be the best because he thought it would fall in his lap and he didnt work for it he fell way short and is now a laughing stock in the gym hes overweight and just a gloryfide waterboy.
It was not just him it was down to the head coach as well for letting him get away with it and treating him different.
Id rather hear about the other amatures in the gym and what they are doing than this calumpa kid because i bet they train harder and deserve more credit than he does.He gets everything and they get forgotten i bet he would sulk like a baby if they got any attention.
The proof is in the pudding he won his first fight then come into his second thinking he would win probley didnt train hard enough and got beaten yet still he is going to be the next big thing! Yeah right what ever he will just turn out to be a could of been.

You dont know the lad so why tar him with the same brush as someone you do know you must be small minded and your opinion is not worth anything.
He is a great kid and very humble he coaches the youngsters helps out with adult classes and has the respect of everyone in the gym.
He trains as much as he can hes always in the gym and dedicated to his boxing.
Yes he did lose his last fight but one loss does not make you a failure true champions learn from mistakes and just improve.How many champions do you know that have perfect records?

he'll probably fight september and then i believe he's entering the junior novice championships in october

sorry to break trhe bad news guys but
the junior aba novices are cancelled.
i was going to enter but it seems there is too many championships on,
the senior novices are still going ahead.

Junior novice's championship has not been axed yet the ABA still has to vote on it at the agm meeting and there is a lot of clubs against this championship from being axed so dont give up hope yet.

I thought they were cancelled. Fair play if they not it'll be interesting to see how the young lad gets on.

Your right he has got no chance of winning them cause hes not entering them.

As for racking up points we will wait and see what happens next season he is adaptable and can switch thigs when required out of his two fights he lost one on points but that was down to his gumsheild.
But i see what you are saying cause if he had boxed better on that fight then he would have been far enough ahead on points so the gumsheild would not have counted.
