The Junior Aba Novices Is Cancelled This Year,
Sorry To Break The Bad News For Calumpa.
However The Senior Novices Are Still Running So Marcel Douglas Has Still Got Something To Aim For.

i dont think its officialy bin cancelled yet, i think theres alot of talk about it but no offical desion.

No its not official yet the ABA have to vote on it so there is still a ray of hope.

Marcel will be entering at 57kg this season and yes he will be entering the senior novices.

To clarify i'm entering at the 57-60kg catergory.

ive seen marcel fight, ive never seen you fight but he's so loose hes gunna be knocking guys out.

I'm excited about the challenge. Answer this question for me........ Out of his 2 fights how many have been knockouts? (I believe he's only had 2 and is due to have his 3rd soon). I'm very relaxed also and look forward to the challenge. Darren - Can you clarify if Marcel is entering the 54-57 weight class or 57-60? Thanks

Marcel will more than likley fight in 54-57kg class as he walks around the gym at 57kg at the moment but we will see nearer the time he may have to go in 57-60kg class as he is still growing.

And just to clarify Marcel has only had one fight so far

Cool, fair point about the growing thing but like you said if he's walking around at 57kg then maybe best to go in 54-57kg catergory. I walk around at 62.5kg and get down to 59.9kg for championships. You need a minimum of 3 fights to enter the championships so i guess you'll be trying to get him matched as much as possible before then. I entered last season with only 3 bouts. I've had 8 fights now and am matched in September so i'll be entering with 9 minimum this time round. Good luck to Marcel in whatever decision you make. I'll see you at the north western county division.
